Medical Museion’s new exhibition, ‘The Face of Disease’ (‘Sygdommens Ansigt’), inspired by Susan Sontag’s seminal, and now classical, essay Illness as Metaphor (1977) opens today, Thursday 24 August. The (uncensored) exhibition can be seen 24 hours a day in the 25 basement windows of Medical Museion at the corner of Bredgade and Fredericiagade until 15 October.

The exhibition has been curated by Huskegruppen (The Memory Group) and the following invited Danish, Swedish and Norwegian artists are represented:

Peter Brandt, Tomas Lagermand Lundme, Maria Wæhrens, Kristina Ask, Lone Bank, Linda Bjørnskov, Thorgej Steen Hansen, Lise Harlev, Molly Haslund, Jens Hultquist, Ulla Hvejsel, Orsolya Bagala Larsen, Anna Lindberg, Jonas Liveröd, Karin Lorentzen, Liv Carle Mortensen, Mie Mørkeberg, Charlotte Petersen, Peter Christian Petersen, Lars Rank, Tanja Rau, Mille Rude, Viktor Storjord, Barbro Westling, Peter Johansson, Mette Winckelmann and Pernille Priergaard Worsøe
